LAND | kunst is a collective of professionals working in the field of landscape studies through writing and design. Membership includes artists, gardeners, landscape architects, historians, poets, critics and essayists. Meetings began in 2013 as a satire of contemporary literary salons, but the loose collective stands strong, with frequent meetings to exchange design ideas and to share current inspirations and aspirations.
Marie Warsh and Nancy Seaton initiated the journal, Prospect, in 2013, and have co-edited six issues together, with the help of many others. Prospect is a forum to encourage interdisciplinary and critical response to myriad themes in landscape studies. Experimental methods, narratives, and works-in-progress are encouraged, as this journal is produced outside the bounds of academia (or academic convention).
Issues of Prospect include:
Boundaries (2022)
Wastelands (2019)
Oasis (2017)
Outcrop (2016)
Necropolis (2015)
Sited (2014)
Wildernesses (2013)
Prospect is not a digital publication and is only distributed in a physical format.
